Legoman Value Studies - 8th Grade (MYP Year 3)

Picture
Students learned to draw from observation by making a lego figurine go on an adventure.  Students could arrange Legoman however they chose, but must meet the criteria:

  • Must be drawn larger than life
  • Composition must show evidence of editing
  • Full range of value (1-9)
  • Smooth blending techniques
  • Value on everything (including background)
  • Craftsmanship (neatness and precision)

As you can guess, lots of 8th graders decided that Lego Man had to meet his demise.  All in all, students loved this project, and unanimously voted this project as the one where they learned the most.
